Firm History
The firm was founded in
1950 by Mr. Glenn Berry.
Mr. Berry had a distinguished career as a fighter pilot in World War II.
He served as an American volunteer with the Royal Air Force in one of their Eagle Squadrons. He later flew P-51 Mustangs for the Army
Air Corp and was shot down over Europe.
Bill
Scovill moved to Florida in 1966, and after completing law school at the
University of Florida, he joined the firm in 1969. Prior to law
school, Bill served as an Armor/JAG officer in the U.S. Army. Bill
also attended law school at Oklahoma University.
On April 14, 1972, Mr. Berry was tragically killed in
a car accident, after which Bill Scovill took over the firm.
Bart Scovill joined the firm in 1993.
Like both his predecessors, Bart served his country. Bart served
four years as a Cavalry Scout in the U.S. Army during the Cold War, and
like his father, he also attended the University of Florida College
of Law.
